ABOUT

It all began on a hot summer day, Aug 25, 1993. Steven Andrews was working as an Arcade technician. He dreamed of making his own games one day, as he always did, and decided to make a few sketches of Characters he would use if he were to do so. Most of the characters were animals such as Rabbits, beavers, and Ferrets. He also drew things he loved from his childhood, like Santa, and Wile E. Coyote. None of them he liked until he drew something that would change his life forever. A Jack-o'-lantern, in a green turtle neck and brown overalls. He named it JackO' (although his sister, Susan Andrews convinced him to name it Jackie later) He showed it to his friends and family, they all loved it. He decided to pitch the idea of a 3D platformer about a pumpkin trying to collect as much candy as he can before night falls. They denied it, but that wouldn't stop him.

what is "Almanda"?

Almanda is a company created by Steven Andrews. Almanda was created on Aug 25, 1993, for the soul purpose of engineering and changing entertainment and technology as we know it. Almanda continues to inspire and entertain people to this very day. (Feb, 15, 1995)

History of the campgrounds.

Steven and his brother had bought land for their Software engineering building (where they were making the games). Steven was in the shower thinking of ways they could use all the land they bought. That's when Steven had the brilliant idea of turning the land into campgrounds, a sorta "Disneyland" for Jackie and Ghostie. After lots of hard work, and with financial help from his family, Almanda Campgrounds was born! Almanda Campgrounds first opened its doors on Oct 19, 1994. Although, after Steven died in a fatal car crash 3 months later, Almanda campgrounds would close its doors for good.

Rest in peace Steven Andrews (1943-1994).
We miss you.
